""Our crew of five arrived at the home of an elderly man in cardiac arrest. He was pulseless and apneic. After we defibrillated and intubated, we tried, unsuccessfully, to start an IV in the external jugular vein. We had no luck, so we used the B.I.G.
The IV was established and life-saving drugs were rapidly administered. Soon, we had a heartbeat and a pulse and were transporting to the hospital.
The BIG allowed us to establish a life-saving route for medication. It was easy to use and took only a few seconds.
We were impressed."
